Theobald Motorsports was established in 1995 when Brent Theobald built his two oldest sons, Travis and Dallas, a Junior Dragster. Early on, they both drove the same car, in the same class, on the same day, at the same events. This proved to be a tremendous amount of work. They quickly learned one car wasn’t sufficient so Brent set about building a second car. To date, all seven Theobald Family members, including Brent, Kari, Travis, Dallas, Linzi, Tanner and Parker, have competed regularly, each driving in various National Hot Rod Association and International Hot Rod Association categories. They have ultimately realized the snowball effect that has taken place over nearly two decades. All five children and Dad continue to race competitively in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series which is the Sportsman venue that is contested in seven geographical divisions throughout the US, Mexico and Canada. They also compete in the NHRA Mello Yello National Event Series which is the Professional venue and is contested nationwide. The youngest of the Theobald Motorsports Team, Parker, competes in the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing Series. All of this has been possible through the continued efforts of Brent that plays an important role as team crew chief and his wife Kari that oversees the logistics and plays the most important role of team chef.
